The Challenge
The problem we set out to solve.
Generic over-the-counter insoles offered no meaningful fit for individual foot shapes, arch types or pressure-point profiles, leaving users with persistent discomfort, conditions like plantar fasciitis, and reduced athletic performance. There was no accessible app-based solution that could replicate clinical-grade orthotics at consumer speed and price.

The technical bet was that a phone camera, paired with the right computer vision pipeline, could capture an accurate enough 3D foot model to drive a personalised product. We scoped AI ShapeSense as the heart of the experience and designed the catalogue, onboarding and fulfilment around it.
